Q: Uhh.... What's up with all the latin? Is that the main form of communication? O.o
A: Auctorine is set in an island off of the coast of Italy, and it was a major part of the roman empire. But less and less humans came to the island as time progressed over the centuries, leaving little room for the language to expand. Sooo... Everything is in Latin! (plus I think the language is interesting )
Q: Is Auctorine an actual city?
A: As far as I'm concerned, no But if it is I wanna visit it
Q: So do the names have to be in Latin?
A: Nope, not at all. I just made Somnium's name Latin because it fits in with the whole thing (this tradition with naming the cat that has a connection Somnium has been going around for at least a millenia). Go as crazy as you want with the name, make it original! But it can be latin if you want it to be.
Q: You say that the cats use paint in rituals... How would a cat get paint?
A: Crushing berries, mixing the crushed bones of prey with water (to get the white), whatever they can find. More is explained in the "Cat Information" sub-board.
Q: Why didn't you just make a warrior cat RPG? The whole set up is almost alike!
A: Because I wanted my site to be original. And there are WAYYY too many warrior cat sites. Q: So are there any high ranks beside Somnium?
A: Yes, there is one dominant cat in each colony. In reality, it's a male that is usually dominant, but to make it fair, somewhat, the dominant can either be male or a femme.
Q: I'm used to roleplaying warriors, and I really don't understand why they're called colonies. Why not just call them Clans?
A: Because a group of cats that are related by blood in reality are called colonies in reality, and this isn't a warrior site!
